Dear GRCA Community,
Happiest New Year!
Our last year brought so many changes in our individual lives, our organizations, our movement, and our world. Together we have navigated these changes with bravery, flexibility, and compassion. Many of us have had to radically change the way we offer programming, share space, and build relationships.
Despite how daunting this task was (and continues to be) our membership has demonstrated how powerful our passion, brilliance, and commitment to the work of the GRCA is. Doing radical work means doing the work in revolutionary and radical ways. 2020 stretched our collective imagination and we hope that the light of this creativity shines on into 2021.
The GRCA Points of Unity offer us the wisdom that “We believe that we can teach each other and learn together.” With the state of our world continuously shifting, we have much to teach one another and much to learn in the coming year.
The GRCA Board of Directors has just concluded our annual Mid-Term Board Retreat. During this time, we reflect on the successes and challenges of the previous operational year and begin planning for the year to come. As we launch into projects in the coming months, be on the lookout for updates via all of our channels of communication. We can’t wait to share what we are working on and we invite your feedback at every step along the way.
Our work is revolutionary because we do it together. We are so glad to be doing this work with you.

Update on Conference 2021:
As the situation with coronavirus continues to shift how we meet and organize, the GRCA will not have an in-person international conference this year.
We will offer programming on digital platforms this year as we strive to continue to connect and grow our movement!
Stay tuned for dates and updates about our plans to offer a digital conference.

The GRCA board has created a listserv for our GRCA members.
This listserv is for everyone ages 18+ who has worked with or feels invested in a GRCA member organization. Potential future GRCA members / volunteers / supporters who are down with our Points of Unity are also welcome to join when invited by an existing member!
This is not a space for self-promotion or advertising goods or services for sale. This means that if your offer exists behind a pay wall it’s a no go. Responding to asks for referrals and offering free resources is totally okay though. And of course, content/behaviors that do not align with our Points of Unity or follow community agreements for platforms are also not okay.
In joining this space, you acknowledge that we come from a range of backgrounds and languages and experiences. We create this as a community-based space not governed or managed by GRCA but instead held together by all membership collectively. We will move forward as such and ask all members to hold the spirit of GRCA in their hearts as this listserv grows!
Member reps will be added to the listserv in the coming weeks so you can look for an invitation from them in February. If we get to the end of February and you do not have an invite, please reach out to your member representative who will have all the information to get you on the listserv!
We know many camps have listservs operating much like we hope this will. In true Do It Together fashion we are looking to our membership to keep this listserv living and as safe as possible!

Estimada comunidad GRCA,
¡Feliz año nuevo!
Nuestro último año trajo tantos cambios en nuestras vidas individuales, nuestras organizaciones, nuestro movimiento y nuestro mundo. Juntxs hemos navegado por estos cambios con valentía, flexibilidad y compasión.
Muchos de nosotros hemos tenido que cambiar radicalmente la forma en que ofrecemos programas, compartimos espacio y construimos relaciones. A pesar de lo abrumadora que fue esta tarea (y sigue siendo), nuestros miembros han demostrado cuán poderosa es nuestra pasión, creatividad y compromiso con el trabajo de la GRCA. Hacer un trabajo radical significa hacer el trabajo de manera revolucionaria y radical. 2020 estiró nuestra imaginación colectiva y esperamos que la luz de esta creatividad brille en 2021.
Los Puntos de Unidad de GRCA nos ofrecen la sabiduría de que “Creemos que podemos enseñarnos unxs a otrxs y aprender juntxs”. Con el estado de nuestro mundo en constante cambio, tenemos mucho que enseñarnos unxs a otrxs y mucho que aprender durante el próximo año.
La Junta Directiva de GRCA acaba de concluir nuestro retiro anual de mitad de período. Durante este tiempo, reflexionamos sobre los éxitos y desafíos del año operativo anterior y comenzamos a planificar para el próximo año. A medida que lancemos proyectos en los próximos meses, estén atentxs a las actualizaciones a través de todos nuestros canales de comunicación. Estamos ansiosxs por compartir en qué estamos trabajando y los invitamos a recibir sus comentarios en cada paso del camino.
Nuestro trabajo es revolucionario porque lo hacemos juntxs. Estamos muy contentxs de hacer este trabajo contigo.

Novedades Sobre la Conferencia
Dado que la situación con el coronavirus sigue cambiando la forma en que nos reunimos y nos organizamos, GRCA no tendrá una conferencia internacional presencial este año.
¡Pronto habrá novedades sobre nuestros planes para lanzar una conferencia digital!
De La Red de Miembros:
La junta de GRCA ha creado una lista de distribución por e-mail (listserv) para nuestros miembros de GRCA.
Este listserv es para mayores de 18 años que hayan trabajado o se sientan interesados en una organización miembro de GRCA. Los posibles futuros miembros o voluntarixs de GRCA que están de acuerdo con nuestros Puntos de Unidad también son bienvenidxs a unirse cuando sean invitados por un miembro existente.
Este no es un espacio para autopromoción o publicidad de bienes o servicios para la venta. Esto significa que si tu oferta es paga, no será posible. Sin embargo, responder a las solicitudes de referencias y ofrecer recursos gratuitos está totalmente bien. Y, por supuesto, el contenido / comportamientos que no se alinean con nuestros Puntos de Unidad o no siguen los acuerdos de la comunidad para las plataformas tampoco están bien.
Al unirse a este espacio, reconocemos que provenimos de una variedad de orígenes, idiomas y experiencias. Creamos esto como un espacio basado en la comunidad que no está gobernado ni administrado por GRCA, sino que se mantiene unido por todos los miembros colectivamente. ¡Seguiremos adelante como tales y pediremos a todos los miembros que mantengan el espíritu de GRCA en sus corazones a medida que este listserv crece!
