Becoming a Member
If you have not already, contact the Girls Rock Camp Alliance at newmembers@girlsrockcampalliance.org explaining a little bit about your organization, where you are located, and what programming you offer or plan to offer. Having done that, you will receive the Membership application form.
As a first step in the application process, please review the application form to determine if the values and practices of your organization align with the mission and values of the GRCA. Completed applications are reviewed by the GRCA Board of Directors, which is made up of representatives of current GRCA member organizations and independent supporters from across the world. The board is elected by the membership, and you can find more information on that process and how to get involved at this link: girlsrockcampalliance.org/nom-comm
Pending and Full Membership
Pending Member organizations have had their application for membership approved. Pending member status can be revoked if it is found that the program does not uphold the GRCA’s mission and points of unity or is otherwise unwilling to participate as the board of the GRCA have deemed appropriate of GRCA members.
Full Member status is secured by providing an application and all materials and holding at least one session of camp or other equivalent programming. Full member organizations can participate in the Annual Member Meeting (AMM), held each year at the international GRCA conference, and have one vote per member organization.
The steps to Pending Membership are as follows:
Read the Mission and Points of Unity.
Email a letter of inquiry to newmembers@girlsrockcampalliance.org (most of you will have already completed this step)
Fill out the Membership application form (which will be emailed to you)
Receive approval of the application
To be a Full Member an organization must also:
Hold a rock camp or equivalent programming
Agree to uphold the Mission and Points of Unity of the GRCA
If your application is approved, your initial member status will be set at PENDING until further notice. Pending member organizations can freely utilize GRCA networking and program sharing and can attend the GRCA conference. If your application is denied, the GRCA will provide an explanation and list of recommendations on being reconsidered for membership at a future time.

Membership applications can be submitted at any time, and are reviewed by the board twice a year.
